Civilian Casualities in Iraq

For the second time this week I have heard news stories about the number of Iraq's citizens who are sadly losing their lives.  Do you think it is true that the US is not given an accurate account of what is happening in regards to the civilian casualties.

Yes I think we might not be aware of how bad things are for the poor people living there.

I agree that the civilian casulties are sad, but, in comparision to other previous conflicts, they are relatively light. American forces are doing all that they can to prevent civilian casulties.

Yes I believe that america has caused a few casualties. But not half as many as Iraq's own people. Plenty of the suicide bombers end up surround a ton of people, before they let it blow.

It is sad how a person could easily just end someone else's life. Why can't we all just get along? I mean, just live your life, have fun and just drink around under the sun. That will be the day...

Yes, I think it is true. The US government tries to justify their action in the Iraq war, and lowering the number of civilian casualties in their war report will help them do that.

However, the media is also leaving out A LOT of the good things.  I have seen pictures taken by soldiers, showing the good that is coming to the area.  People have been known to stand on the streets and cheer as American convoys go through because they have brought stability to their community.  Mainstream media tends to focus on the bad, and not on the good.

It is sad that Iraqi civilians our losing their lives in our battles.  Insurgents are using them as human shields.

I know it's terrible. And sometimes I wonder how many civilians really have been hurt or killed.

I think that since Iraq is in the middle of a civil war, that civilian casaulties were expected, though I doubt they expected such a large amount. Maybe sometime soon Iraq will realize its blowing itself to pieces.

Re: Civilian Casualities in Iraq

This past week there were more civilian casualties, apparently a mistake from american soldiers. This isn't good, I feel they need to get out of there. I'm not quite sure what they are helping with over there.

True say, just look at every Middle East country they ever went to, they still have their bases their. They will never leave Iraq, unless some sort of an Iranian type revolution comes.

Re: Civilian Casualities in Iraq

however you never made the connection as to how Bush and Blair manipulated the masses

can you be a little more precise as to how they manipulated the masses so we can have a frame of reference?
